The IT Server Administrator I is responsible for the daily administration and overall health of the enterprise server infrastructure and associated services & applications. This role includes physical and virtual server design, ensuring alignment with business needs, security and compliance standards, and business continuity requirements.

*Key Responsibilities*
1. Security & Compliance
a. Follow, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
b. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.
2. System Administration
a. Prioritize IT security best practices in system operations.
b. Analyze system and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
c. Monitor system health and performance in real time.
d. Manage systems such as Active Directory, SQL, DNS, File Servers, and Print Servers.
e. Manae and maintain Storage Area Networks for optimal performance, scalability, and data availability.
f. Capture system monitoring data for analysis and alert on performance anomalies.
g. Oversee the hardware and software lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and end-of-life management.
h. Mitigate and manage system risks.
i. Ensure compliance with business continuity plans through regular backups, testing, and reporting.
3. Hardware & Software Maintenance
a. Install, configure, and maintain system hardware and software according to credit union standards.
4. Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
5. Develop and implement standard operating plans and procedures for the security, maintenance, installation, and deployment of systems.
6. Provide training and guidance to team members on operational procedures.
7. Serve as an escalation point for Help Desk.
8. Provide level 3 support for all managed systems and applications.
9. Meet system uptime and service request SLAs.
10. Work with third-party vendors for issue resolution or support.
11. Adhere to change management protocols for all system changes.
12. Submit recurring system status reports to manager.
13. Participate in on-call rotation.
14. Maintain IT inventory, storage areas, and server/network rooms.
15. Maintain knowledge of systems through self-study and approved training.
16. All other duties assigned.
*Relationships and Contacts*
Supervise Approximately: None
Reports to: VP of IT
Contacts: Frequent contact with other employees, departments, and outside vendors. Some contact with members.
*Qualifications*
Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university. Equivalent IT experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Server+, or similar are preferred.
Experience
Two (2) years in Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure management and administration.
Working experience with server virtualization, Microsoft 365, storage area networks, Active Directory, and SQL server.
Experience in financial services is a plus.
Physical
Position involves wrist/hand manipulation; good visual acuity for detail work; ability to bend stoop on a regular basis; reach overhead and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job includes close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, means of transportation, and be able to travel independently.
Mental
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must have a strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization. Demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Periodic after-hours work required.
Equipment
Proficient in virtualization, networking, current Windows OS client environments (both hardware and software). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
