The City of Avondale is currently seeking a Network Analyst to join the Information Technology Department The Network Analysts role involves designing, building, and implementing network systems across the enterprise. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide-area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links. Additionally, this person will troubleshoot network performance problems, analyze network traffic, and provide capacity planning solutions.Perform network design and capacity planning. Develop, implement, and maintain documentation for network asset management, including the upkeep of network components. Establish service level agreements with end users.

Plan and execute any updates, changes, or replacements of network infrastructure components. Coordinate the setup of network hardware and software.

Monitor and analyze network performance across the organizations LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments. Monitor system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.

Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, telephony systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and related hardware.

Inspect, maintain, and, where necessary, replace network cabling, voice/data jacks, and other network-related equipment. Ensure network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure.

This position requires the ability to be on call and available to respond to emergencies and operational needs on a 24/7 basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.

Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. Work with IT teams, software vendors, and third-party providers on network-related projects.Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and technical training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, to qualify.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.

Valid Arizona Operators Drivers License.

Two (2) years of experience with configuration, installation, and management of computer and network equipment, including Cisco routers, switches, telephony, and wireless communications equipment.

Comprehensive knowledge of network management and analysis tools.

Hardware, software, and network connection troubleshooting experience required.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Demonstrated expertise in analytical thinking and problem-solving,

Skilled in prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure settings, self-driven and goal-oriented with a high level of initiative, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support.

The position requires the ability to read computer-related manuals, technical documentation, memos, and general correspondence.

The position requires the ability to write standards, operating procedures, memos, and justification of computer-related upgrades and installations.
