Pediatric Hospitalist Inpatient Physician Locums Job in Oregon Call-Only October 20 - December 27, 2025 Assignment

Coverage Type: Call Only
Schedule: 24 hour call with 8 hours rounding
Average Callback: 8.44 weekdays, 6.49 weekends

Requirements:
Board Certified Peds / Board Eligible
Active Oregon license
Availability at time of name clear
Certifications: DEA, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
Clean Malpractice Background - HIGHLY PREFERRED, must be clean for emergency credentialing
Local, no flights - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Required Procedures: Lumbar puncture, intubations, umbilical lines
Must have 2 in 24 month: endotracheal intubations/vent mgmt., newborns, spinal tap/lumbar puncture, umbilical line placement
Call Requirements:
7am-7am (24 hours per calendar day). # of hours spent in-house varies depending on census and acuity, on average 5-6 hours on clinical care per day. Can opt to spend extra time teaching students/residents.
When rounds/discharges are finished, we take call with a 15-minute in-person response time for emergencies such as neonatal resuscitations. ED calls for consults and admissions don't have as strict of a turnaround time.
Assignment Details:
Setting: Inpatient Level II nursery
Duties: Attending Physician for Inpatient Peds and ED Consults. Rounding on inpatient peds and newborns in Family Birth Center. Stabilize and transfer critical patients.
EMR: Patient Keeper (interface with Meditech)
No circumcisions performed at this site.
Number of beds: 18 bed ward but the bulk of work will be in Level 2 nursery
Not required to be present for births, just to examine and treat neos.
Call back is minimal
6 Bed Peds Unit - Average Census of 2 patients per day
4-6 newborns, 0-1 pediatric avg. per day
2-4 newborns,
