Our Client, an Internet Content and Information company, is looking for a Software Engineer IV for their Burlingame, CA location.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement core data collection tooling components
  2. Conduct design and code reviews
  3. Maintain, analyze, and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system infrastructures
  4. Establish yourself as an owner of a particular component, feature, or system with expert end-to-end understanding
  5. Successfully complete projects of large scope while maintaining a high level of productivity

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  2. Proficiency in Python or C++, with experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing user-facing applications
  3. Experience with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting
  4. Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  5. Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting, including tools like iwconfig, ifconfig, netstat, and tcpdump
  6. Knowledge of Android Debug Bridge (ADB) for device communication and control
  7. Experience with debugging tools for diagnosing and resolving issues within Linux and networking layers
  8. Strong skills in writing and debugging bash scripts for automation tasks
  9. Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and documenting troubleshooting steps
  10. 2+ years of industrial experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
