$100,000-140,000/year Overview We are seeking experienced and passionate PhD-level scientists for consideration for future opportunities focused on protein sciences in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on protein expression and purification, integral to advancing our client's innovative research and development initiatives. Responsibilities Design, optimize, and execute experiments for the expression and purification of recombinant proteins. Develop, implement, and troubleshoot protein purification protocols using techniques such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography. Analyze and interpret data to improve protein yield and functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biochemists, molecular biologists, and structural biologists, to ensure alignment with project goals. Maintain detailed laboratory records and contribute to scientific publications and presentations. Stay up-to-date with advancements in protein science and biotechnological applications. Qualifications PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field with a focus on protein sciences. Proven experience in protein expression systems (bacterial, yeast, insect, or mammalian). Expertise in protein purification techniques and experience with chromatographic systems. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in bioinformatics tools for protein characterization. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. What happens next?
