N/A Purpose
The primary purpose of the Financial Management Analyst is to assist government employees with the full scope of appropriated funds, including budgeting, distribution, control, and reporting for the Navy. Responsibilities
Accurately enter data into official financial systems, internal trackers, and related documents. Construct financial data strings to establish appropriate information pointers within official accounting systems using provided templates. Extract daily data from official financial systems and trackers for collection and comparison. Ensure compliance with USSOCOM DFAS 7097 report requirements. Maintain records by saving official documents to designated storage systems like Share Drive, SharePoint, HP TRIM, SIPR, NIPR. Reconcile imbalances in financial systems and trackers. Provide N711 Funds Control status updates during reconciliation processes. Adhere to classification markings on documents. Assist with data entry, extraction, maintenance, and reconciliation tasks. Conduct trend and forecast analysis by gathering and comparing historical data to identify distribution trends and projections. Store collected data on Share Drive and/or SharePoint (NIPR or SIPR). Convert data into actionable information for decision-making and provide forecasts and recommendations. Financial Reporting
Provide daily financial status reports to N711 Funds Control. Generate oversea contingency operation, exercise, military construction, and procurement reports at specified intervals. Assist N711 Funds Control and Budget Department with other financial reports and data calls. Prepare narratives for report status updates. Support budgetary presentations and defend estimates and obligations, responding to RFIs as needed. Funds Distribution
Review and approve funds requests via the N71 portal. Create and route distribution documents and authorization forms. Ensure funds are balanced across systems before close of business. Follow approved distribution plans and comply with DoD regulations. Document internal business processes and support process improvement projects related to funds distribution, reporting, analysis, and data management. Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Accurate data entry skills. Security Clearance: SECRET. Desired: Program/Project Management experience, SOF experience. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) and 10 years of relevant experience. About Our Company
