JOB OVERVIEW

Tolerance Masters Inc is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machines parts and sub-assemblies.

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all machined parts and components meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction by performing dimensional inspections, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

HOURS

Monday-Thursday: 6:00AM-4:30PM

Fridays: Opportunity for overtime

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined components using calibrated measuring tools

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
Use precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, optimal comparators, and Zeiss CMMs

Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records according to ISO 9001/AS9100 standards

Identify and report non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective action activities

Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and gages

Work closely with CNC machinists and the production team to provide real-time feedback and promote quality at the source

Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision manufacturing

Knowledge of AS9100 and FAA regulatory requirements

Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings
Proficient with a wide range of hand and digital measuring tools

Familiarity with quality documentation and inspection reproting

Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel and quality software systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in quality manufacturing a plus
