Has a detailed working knowledge of department functions and is responsible for completing work assignments in the sterile process department.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Graduate from School of Surgical Technology OR High School diploma or equivalent AND Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
Experience
No prior experience required
Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Working knowledge of computers
Ability to organize instrument sets
Able to pass a written proficiency review
Organized and self-motivated with an attention to detail
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Preferred: CRCST (Required if no Surgical Technology Degree) OR Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
