Job Description: Position Details: $225 Daily guarantee, plus component pay based on cases, miles, and stops. Average salary of $60,000/year. Early morning dispatch with a five-day work week, which may include one or two-night layovers with hotel and food stipend provided. Position Purpose:

As a vital part of the food supply chain, our delivery drivers ensure that customers receive their products on time and in excellent condition. You will act as the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our customers. The driver will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck for local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes, delivering food products safely and timely in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Engage with customers, vendors, and colleagues professionally to answer inquiries promptly and accurately.

Collaborate as a team member within the department and perform any assigned duties to support the company effectively.

Conduct all necessary safety checks (such as pre/post-trip inspections) to ensure the tractor/truck and trailer adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Report any safety issues or necessary repairs immediately.

Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving guidelines.

Inspect loaded trailers for properly secured freight.

Verify loaded items against customer invoices and perform a count check.

Accurately complete all required paperwork associated with freight in a legible manner.

Transport the tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailers as necessary.

Drive to deliver customer orders following a predetermined schedule.

Unload products from the trailer and transport them into designated storage areas at customer sites.

Perform damage control checks, scan items, and inform supervisors about any product removals as per company policy.

Confirm delivery of items with customers and obtain appropriate signatures.

Collect payments (cash or checks) when required and securely load customer returns onto the trailer.

Keep tractors, trailers, and freight secure and locked.

Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork, and maintain cleanliness in trailers and loading areas.

Log hours of service daily in compliance with federal DOT, state, and company regulations.

Ensure all equipment is secured and all paperwork is completed at the end of each shift.

Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 12+ months of commercial driving experience. High school diploma or GED. Valid CDL A. Meet all state licensing and certification requirements. Must be 21 years old. Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for the past 3 years. Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check. Successfully complete road test. Possess a current valid DOT Health Card or be able to secure one. Able to hand-lift and utilize a two-wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment for moving and stacking product cases varying in size and weight (generally between 10-35 pounds, and up to 60-90 pounds depending on the location).
