Job Details
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain control systems, software programs, and automation processes to optimize plant operations.
Troubleshoot and repair Siemens control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet), motor control systems, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
Write, modify, and troubleshoot HMI and Siemens PLC programs, making adjustments to logic and process controls as needed.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on control systems, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all system hardware and software, keeping detailed records of repairs and modifications.
Maintain plant computer networks, servers, and related infrastructure.
Collaborate with other departments on automation initiatives and process optimization projects.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams to support technical needs.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for plant support and assist with special projects as assigned.
Provide backup coverage for the CEMs Technician when needed.
Update technical drawings in AutoCAD as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical or process control environments; cement industry experience preferred.
Strong background in HMI, PLC programming, and instrumentation.
Skilled in process controls, electrical systems, and optimization techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and P&ID drawings.
Experienced in PLC logic/programming, HMI systems, and associated hardware/software.
Ability to operate and interpret data acquisition and analysis systems/software.
