As a Senior Java Software Engineer in the Corporate Technology division, you will lead innovative engineering initiatives that drive significant impact across the organization. Your role will involve implementing critical technology solutions across various business functions to achieve the firm’s strategic goals. You will leverage your expertise in Java full-stack development, microservices, data analytics, and product management to spearhead complex projects, make informed technical decisions, and foster innovation. Collaborating with an innovative team, you will work with cutting-edge technology, including AI-driven coding assistants. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of functional technology objectives through the development of enhancements and new features primarily in Java, with deployment on AWS. Create low-latency and highly resilient cloud-hosted services to support the CCB-Risk Third Party Services group. Work closely with product owners and team members to outline solutions for business requirements. Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the firm’s culture. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Formal training or certification in software engineering principles with 5+ years of demonstrated experience. Deep understanding of Java full-stack development, microservices architecture, and AWS deployment processes. Proficiency in coding Java applications using Spring Boot frameworks. Experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, NLB/ALB, and Aurora RDS. Familiarity with architectural best practices for reliability, security, operational efficiency, and performance. Strong commitment to delivering quality, encompassing automated unit, integration, and acceptance testing. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Developer, or Solutions Architect is a plus. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployment. Knowledge of Linux scripting languages such as Bash, KSH, or Python. About Us:
