The Opportunity
Ally is seeking a application lead to help drive disaster recovery plan for the technology organization. This role would be responsible for developing ADRP plan, executing the plan, documenting the findings to management and provide technical/non-technical help to application teams to conduct a successful disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will have equal experience working on documenting requirements for DR, knowledge of Jira, Service now, Confluence, word, ppt, excel is a must. The candidate should know how to engage various teams and rally the troop to make disaster a success. The candidate should also have working knowledge of cloud providers preferably AWS, Gitlab, Terraform and various databases. (These are good to have but not must for this job)

The Work Itself
Collaborate with other team member as a member of an Agile [Scrum/Kanban] team and provide significant contributions to iterative rapid DR cycle execution.
Use technical knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to create solutions to complex business problems.
Maintain DR documents and create metrics on a regular basis
Work with Product Owner to understand business requirements and translate into technical implementation strategies for ADRP
Partner with QA Analysts to ensure testing is performed as expected after DR.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand ups, sprint review demonstrations, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, etc.
Document DR solutions and ensure supportability.
Experience in designing, developing and maintaining DR for both On Prem and cloud applications.
Creating complex power BI reports and visuals.
Ability to work on weekends or night to support the DR
The Skills You Bring
Required:
5+ years of experience serving as a technical authority and work with other team members
5+ years of experience working in an Agile setting with other developers, QA, Scrum Masters and Product Owners
5+ years of experience with core infrastructure.
Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support
Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the organization
Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project
Experience with standard change management tools and processes
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent experience
Preferred:
Experience with the following tools is beneficial, but not required: Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Open Shift, Power BI, ServiceNow
Understanding of AWS Terminologies and Operations
