The Opportunity
The position is part of the AML Analytics & Operations team within Ally's Financial Crimes Compliance organization. Through thoughtful analysis, sound technical and business acumen, and creative solutioning, this role provides tactical execution for critical AML functions across the Ally Enterprise and Business Lines. Reporting into the Sr. Director, AML Analytics & Operations, this role provides support to drive project execution, operational processes, and exploratory analysis on emerging risks. This role will work with senior leaders from the Enhanced Due Diligence team as a lead role that requires financial crimes knowledge and technical acumen as well as the ability to simplify concepts for cross functional teams. We are looking for a team member with excellent communication skills, with a background in data analytics, technology, and strong logic and problem solving.

This role reports to the office on hybrid basis (three times a week in office; two times a week working from home).
The Work Itself
Conduct analysis for Customer Risk Scoring model including monitoring model performance
Lead projects and model changes, partnering with Enterprise Technology, by providing recommendations, documenting requirements, and conducting testing
Conduct model tuning, providing analytical detail and presenting findings to leadership
Integrate new products into CRS monitoring and document decision-making for each product
Prepare memo documentation to support projects and initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership
Identify methods to increase effectiveness of AML program
Utilize SAS and SQL to perform tasks as assigned
Maintain a current understanding of AML regulatory requirements, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and emerging trends
Ensure day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and the organization's policy
Promote teamwork and collaboration to consistently deliver to the standards required
Uses judgment, creativity, and sound technical and analytical knowledge to develop and recommend solutions relating to company policies and standard practices
The Skills You Bring
Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or related major required.
5+ years in banking/finance industry or data analytics required
Proficient in SAS and SQL required
Experience with Business Intelligence/Visualization tools preferred (PowerBI, SAS Visual Analytics, etc.)
Familiarity with Python or R preferred
Experience extracting data from Snowflake data warehouse is a plus
Demonstrable experience in code testing and validation to ensure data quality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple duties
Possess independent analytical skills and is a self-starter
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
