Our client, an the electric utility company, is seeking a Distribution Dispatcher to join their team. As a Distribution Dispatcher, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Distribution System. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Up to $33.57/hr
Duration:
12 months (potential to extend/convert)
What's the Job?
Promote and enforce the Company's Safety and Health programs.
Track crew locations and ongoing work on the distribution system.
Dispatch service personnel to respond to outage and emergency situations.
Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities.
Maintain accurate outage records and documentation of abnormal equipment.
What's Needed?
Associate degree in electrical or electronic technology or a Bachelor of Science in any field or equivalent education and/or experience.
Successful completion of the System Operator/Power Dispatching Selection System (SOPD) test.
Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain high availability for call-out response.
Capability to work under pressure during critical system conditions.
Willingness to relocate within 30 minutes of the reporting location.
