Key Job Details - Med/Surg Telemetry RN Jobs in Indiana Location: Newburgh, IN 47630 (Indiana healthcare jobs) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910 per week Unit: Neuro Cardiac Unit (NCU) Setting: Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Contract Length: 13 or 20 weeks Start Dates: 8/25/2025 or 9/8/2025 (bi-weekly orientation) Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (option for 48 upon request) Unit Size: 32 beds Patient Ratio: Nights 1:6-7 Weekend/Holiday: Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday Scrub Colors: Navy blue (no competing health system or agency logos) Qualifications - Med/Surg Telemetry RN Active compact Registered Nurse (RN) license Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry and Medical Surgical nursing experience At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment Trauma Level II experience required Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required) Ability to float within skillset to nearby Indiana campuses (with notice) Must pass Telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation tests Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Charge nurse experience preferred Travel RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients, including post-cardiac caths, CVA/TIA, ICD, complex abdominal surgeries, oncology, and neuro cases Perform and document NIHSS/dysphagia screens and detailed neuro assessments Interpret telemetry and 12-lead EKGs; initiate and titrate drips (insulin, cardiac, heparin, etc.) Manage heart cath recovery (femoral & TR bands) Float to other units/campuses within skillset as needed Precept students and new hires in a teaching hospital environment Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and foster a positive unit culture Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN in Newburgh, Indiana.
