Fellowship-Trained | TEE Certified | Exceptional Benefits A well-established medical group in North Central Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years) Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing team providing full-spectrum anesthesia services at a modern hospital and affiliated ASC. This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a unique mix of cardiac and general anesthesia cases, along with opportunities for procedural leadership and CRNA oversight. Position Overview: Team Structure: 7 Anesthesiologists 12 CRNAs Cases Covered: Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Pediatric (non-complex), General Call Responsibilities: Cardiac call: Monday–Thursday rotation General call: Approx. 6 weekends/year 1 holiday/year Workload: 1 cardiac case/day (not every day) 5–7 general cases/day when not covering cardiac CRNA Oversight: Yes (in both hospital and ASC settings when needed) Trauma: Level II ER; no pain clinic ORs in Use: 8 Candidate Requirements: Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology – Required Cardiac Fellowship and/or TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE, not just place probe) – Required Iowa License or IMLC Eligibility – Required Iowa CSR & DEA – Required BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required COVID Vaccination – Required H-1B Visa Candidates Accepted Compensation & Benefits: Total compensation package: $575,000 Base salary benefits Sign-on Bonus: $50,000 (with 3-year commitment) Student Loan Repayment: Up to $100,000 Relocation Allowance: Up to $10,000 Health Insurance: Premium coverage provided Disability: Short- and long-term Liability Insurance: Provided CME: $10,000 annual allowance 8 weeks of total time off (includes CME) Medical Allowance: $2,500 Profit Sharing Plan Additional Information: EMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC; some paper-based) Patient Age Range: Pediatric through Geriatric Location: North Central Iowa — easy access to Des Moines and Minneapolis, with a low cost of living, outdoor recreation, and a family-friendly community.
