**Job Description: Labor and Delivery Nurse / Nursery Nurse**

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurses (RN) and Nursery Nurses (RN) to join our dynamic team in our Level 3 Obstetrics unit. As part of our integrated network of care, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality healthcare services to expectant mothers and newborns.
**Unit Profile:**
- **Floor:** OB 3rd Floor
- **Trauma Level:** Level 3 OB
- **Number of Openings:** 2 positions for Labor and Delivery (L&D) and 2 positions for Nursery
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers during labor and delivery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor, implementing interventions as necessary.
- Care for newborns in the nursery, including assessments, feeding, and education to parents.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EHR system (Meditech).
**Requirements:**
- **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring or above, STABLE for nursery
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year to 18 months of experience in OB/L&D and nursery care preferred.
- **Education:** Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- **Personality Fit:** Compassionate, dedicated, and adaptable to patient needs.
**Patient Population:**
Focused on Level 3 Obstetrics with a patient ratio that follows A1 Guidelines.
**Additional Information:**
- The OB unit generally has low volume, with less than 15 deliveries per month.
- Float requirements may apply if units close due to census fluctuations.
- Scrub Color: Any color scrubs allowed.
