**Overview:**
Join our dynamic Maternal Infant Unit, where we are committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse who is passionate about maternal health and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, offering expertise throughout the birthing process.
- Deliver comprehensive care to postpartum patients and manage newborn care in the nursery.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR (Meditech, CPN).
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines, ensuring compliance with best practices in maternal and infant care.
**Patient Ratios:**
- Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)
- Post-Partum: 5-6:1
- Nursery: 5-6:1
**Qualifications:**
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes.
- Certification: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
**Dress Code:**
- Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses will wear pink badges for infant security.
**Schedule:**
- Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule.
- Contract of 91 weeks available with guaranteed hours.
