The is vital to the success of The WisdomTree Group, our architectural division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience designing systems for multifamily and commercial buildings. The candidate should be a competent Mechanical Engineer, capable of designing and engineering a project from initial concept through completed construction. Key Responsibilitiesn

    n
  • Work independently to develop the HVAC design from conceptual design through construction documentation phase based on project scope
  • n
  • Perform field surveys to develop scope and assess existing conditions
  • n
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • n
  • Analyze and apply applicable construction codes
  • n
  • Coordinate design with other trades (Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection)
  • n
  • Provide construction observation services
  • n
  • Prepare HVAC project specifications independently and develop a company master specification
  • n
  • Participate and collaborate in project team setting and engage in creative and critical thought
  • n
  • Other responsibilities as designated by management
  • n

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements: n

    n
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • n
  • 5 years of job-related experience
  • n
  • Professional Engineering License is required
  • n
  • LEED accreditation is not a requirement
  • n
n

    n
  • Hands-on experience with engineering, design, building, and mechanical code requirements, with emphasis on multifamily facilities including market-rate housing.
  • n
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards
  • n
  • Energy efficient design knowledge is a plus
  • n
  • Project field experience (punch list and physical needs assessments)
  • n
  • Demonstrate professional technical writing skills
  • n
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ArchiCAD or other BIM, (Building Information Modeling) applications
  • n
