Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and oversee operations at our seafood focused wine bar and restaurant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. This pivotal role is not just about managing day-to-day operations; it's about embodying the spirit of hospitality that Redwood is known for.

We are a small, driven team and are seeking someone looking to grow with our company and bring meaningful contributions to both our service and operations.The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for excellence, an expert in multitasking and operational efficiency, and a champion for creating exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations Place des Fêtes and present with professionalism before, during, and after service.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and supply chain logistics to optimize cost and ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and materials.
  • Implement and maintain robust systems for order processing, delivery, and customer service, with a focus on scalability and customer satisfaction.

Strategic Management
  • Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence, revenue growth, and brand enhancement across both locations.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of the bakery's wholesale operations with the cafe's dining and delivery services, creating a cohesive brand experience.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Team Leadership
  • Provide leadership and direction to the restaurant's floor manager, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring a high level of expertise, motivation, and performance across all roles.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, feedback, and personal growth.

Financial Management
  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts, ensuring the profitability and financial health of both ventures.
  • Implement effective cost-control measures and financial strategies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.

Guest Experience
  • Create and maintain a positive and hospital environment that leads with genuineness and kindness. 
  • Champion the delivery of outstanding guest experiences, from the quality of food and beverages to the ambiance and customer service.
  • Actively engage with guests to gather feedback, resolve issues, and foster a loyal customer base.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a general management role within the hospitality industry, preferably with experience managing multiple locations or diverse food service operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of quality, service, and operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of the Brooklyn dining scene and the hospitality industry's latest trends and best practices is a plus.
