If you want to join a collaborative team providing sophisticated legal services – without losing sight of our calling to give back to our communities – this is the place to be. ABOUT THE ROLE: Parker Poe is seeking a Litigation Associate with substantial knowledge in employment and education law to join its expanding Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of federal and state litigation cases, including constitutional claims, employment disputes, student matters, and contract suits. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in employment litigation or commercial litigation combined with employment counseling. Experience in the educational field, particularly in civil rights, disability rights, and compliance with state and federal laws, is essential. This role involves immediate responsibility for assisting partners in all aspects of litigation, including legal research, case theory development, fact and expert discovery, motions practice, and brief writing, as well as periodic trials. Applicants must possess exceptional communication, research, and writing skills, and be prepared to handle depositions, court hearings, and client conferences independently. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing practice group. ABOUT THE PRACTICE: In today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, institutions are compelled to reassess their priorities and practices amidst shifting federal laws.
