Extended Job Title Vice Provost - Enrollment & Student Svcs Position Description The Vice Provost of Enrollment & Student Services is a key leadership position at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive strategy to enhance the student experience and improve enrollment outcomes. Reporting to the Provost, this role oversees critical student-focused services in the Division of Enrollment & Student Services (ESS). This division comprises the Department of Enrollment Services and the Department of Student Services. The primary role of the division is to coordinate university-wide initiatives for marketing, recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts across TTUHSC’s academic programs. The Vice Provost will collaborate with academic leaders, staff, and external stakeholders to advance the institution’s mission of fostering academic excellence and student success. Develop and implement a cohesive vision and strategic plan to enhance student success, enrollment growth, and retention across TTUHSC’s six primary locations and distant sites. Align student services and enrollment initiatives with the university’s mission to provide education and access to health care across nearly half of Texas. Serve as a key advisor to the provost and other university leaders on matters related to the student experience and enrollment management. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with institutional leaders to develop and promote initiatives that support a comprehensive student experience, including academic advising and mentoring, mental health resources, and co-curricular engagement. Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, K-12 schools, community colleges, external general academic schools, andindustry partners, to strengthen the pipeline of prospective students and enhance post-graduation opportunities. Represent TTUHSC at national and regional forums, sharing best practices and advancing the institution’s reputation for excellence in student services and enrollment management. Enrollment Marketing and Recruitment

Oversee and coordinate enrollment marketing, recruitment, and admissions efforts to attract qualified students across programs and locations. Collaborate with TTUHSC communications and marketing teams, and schools and academic programs to implement innovative strategies that drive enrollment growth and student success. Utilize data-driven approaches to assess market trends, evaluate recruitment strategies, and refine retention initiatives. Enrollment Services

Provide leadership and oversight for the Office of the Registrar, ensuring accurate and efficient academic records, registration, and compliance with university policies and best practices in student enrollment. Provide leadership and oversight for the Office of Financial Aid, ensuring equitable access to resources, compliance with federal and state regulations, and high-quality service to students. Collaborate with the Division of Institutional Effectiveness to improve student data collection and reporting to enhance visibility and understanding of our student populations. Student Services

Ensure student retention efforts are robust, coordinated, accessible, and comparable across the university through shared resources to increase student retention and success. Partner with faculty and staff across programs to ensure students can meet the needs of our community’s workforce and the changing landscape of health care in our region. Promote a culture of service excellence and continuous quality improvement across all student-facing services that reflect our values-based culture. Grow TTUHSC’s advising, coaching, and mentoring services that ensure our students are prepared professionally and financially.

Grant Funded? No Pay Grade Minimum salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills Pay Basis Monthly Work Location Lubbock Preferred Qualifications Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in student services, enrollment management, or related areas. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that achieve measurable outcomes in student success and enrollment growth. Demonstrated expertise in leading diverse teams and managing complex operations in higher education. Experience in health sciences or professional school enrollment management. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in enrollment marketing, financial aid, and student retention. Familiarity with data analytics platforms and tools used in higher education decision-making.
