What You Will Do
On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Financial Consultant will drive complex projects that contribute to our clients’ business strategy. Working autonomously and with project team members, they will be expected to produce high-quality analytical work and delegate some tasks to junior staff. Much of this person’s work will involve complex data manipulation and summarization in Excel, but supplemental programming, statistical, and database skills are highly valued and will open up additional opportunities for impactful client assignments and advancement.

Typical responsibilities in this role include:
Oversee and perform data analysis using various software and programs including Excel, VBA, SAS, R, Python,and proprietary Milliman programs (e.g. MG-ALFA)
Assist with consulting for various life insurance and annuity areas
Participate inconsulting assignments that include pricing, actuarial modeling, product development, financial projections,and mergers and acquisitions, asset liability management, cash flow testing, statutory, tax, and GAAP valuation, and ERM/ORSA support.
Responsible for reviewing the work ofothers and assisting with research projects and supporting business development
Coordinate with the rest of the project team to deliver client reports and deliverables
Review reports, presentations, and other documents
Assist with the drafting of proposals and engagement letters to help facilitate the process of bringing in new clients and new assignments
Participate in client interaction that generally includesdata collection, project updates, answering basic technical questions, and assisting in the delivery of results
Be expected to add insights into the technical direction of projects, check the initial solutions for reasonability, and assist consultants with client communications
May require some travel
What We Are Looking For
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work
Two or more years of actuarial experience and seven or more years of insurance/finance experience
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines
Experience working in a fast-pace work environment
Self-motivation to deliver high quality work and expand existing skillset
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

Location
This is a remote position. Candidates must be willing to travel as needed nationwide for meetings, conferences, and team events. The expected application deadline for this job is August 10, 2025.
Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $117,500 - $232,680. For candidates residing in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $129,250 - $213,290. New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $141,000 - $232,680. All other locations the salary range is $117,500 - $193,900. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. Milliman Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, and well-being.
