Actuarial Consultant Position
The Indianapolis, Indiana office of Milliman, an international firm of actuaries and consultants, is seeking an experienced actuarial candidate with strong expertise in individual life insurance. This is a consultant level position with significant advancement potential for the right person. In this role, you will focus on: Project management and technical expert, overseeing multiple consulting projects at the same time Wide variety of assignments, including pricing, modelling, mergers & acquisitions, asset liability management, cash flow testing, statutory, tax, and GAAP valuation, and ERM/ORSA support Product development and support experience in the following product areas: ULSG, Whole Life, Term Life, Annuities, and/or Combination Life/Health products Lead role in managing and expanding client relationships Mentor junior and mid-level actuarial staff Requires some travel What we are looking for: Professional/Personal Qualifications Strong academic background in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or other related degree Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) Strong work ethic and ability to work independently Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills are required Experience with actuarial software applications Preferred Qualifications 5 - 19 years actuarial experience Expertise in principles-based reserves (from both pricing and valuation perspectives) Computer programming experience in various programming languages, and experience working with Artificial Intelligence Experience working with MG-ALFA Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. The overall salary range for this role is $107,400 - $247,560. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. For candidates residing in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: $118,140 - $200,860 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and $133,430 - $226,930 for experience greater than 10 years. New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco: $128,880 - $219,120 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and $145,560 - $247,560 for experience greater than 10 years. All other states: $107,400 - $182,600 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and $121,300 - $206,300 for experience greater than 10 years.
