Senior Transit Architect

Key responsibilities include:
Working with and coordinating an architectural/engineering team to prepare project documents focused on transportation.
Performing initial and detailed architectural design phases, collaborating across disciplines, clients, and consultants.
Preparing architectural plans and supervising their execution.
Analyzing design and construction systems, planning studies, and creating construction details.
Conducting site and construction inspections, and preparing reports.
Executing code analysis, selecting materials, and developing technical solutions.
Coordinating with other disciplines and managing project schedules and work oversight.
Required Experience:
Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred).
Minimum of 15 years of experience as a project architect in the rail/transit sector.
Transit architecture design experience, including stations and related facilities.
Registered Licensed Architect in New York.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3-D Max, SketchUp, LEED accreditation is a plus.
Excellent design, technical detailing, and presentation skills.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on client needs.
Essential Duties:
Determining technical approach and design criteria with multiple disciplines.
Leading and coaching architectural staff.
Conducting investigations, studies, and architectural analyses.
Developing design details, plans, and specifications.
Serving as a quality control reviewer.
Using software to solve complex architectural problems.
Contributing innovative designs and techniques.
Staying current with codes and technologies such as IBC, NFPA.
Ensuring conformance to standards and codes.
Reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.
Compensation Range:
$128,289.89 - $171,053.19
