Intermediate Transit Architectural Designer

to join our team in

Washington, DC . In this role, you will contribute to innovative transportation projects that shape the future of transit.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to prepare project documents.

Lead the initial and detailed design phases, coordinating across disciplines, clients, and consultants.

Develop architectural plans, supervise their execution, and analyze design and construction systems.

Conduct site and construction inspections, prepare reports, and perform code analysis and material selection.

Coordinate research for specifications, and ensure design compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Manage project schedules and oversee work progress.

Required Experience

Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred).

At least 12 years of experience as a project architect in the rail/transit sector.

Transit architecture experience, including stations and facilities.

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite; experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3-D Max, SketchUp is a plus.

LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Excellent design, technical detailing, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented approach.

Essential Duties

Define technical approach and design criteria with multidisciplinary teams.

Lead and mentor architectural staff.

Conduct investigations, studies, and analyses.

Develop detailed plans and specifications.

Review shop drawings and RFIs, ensuring quality and compliance.

Stay updated on relevant codes and technologies.

Compensation Range $114,544.55 - $152,726.06
