ESTIMATING ASSISTANT/JR. PROJECT COORDINATOR

Golden State Boring and Pipe Jacking Inc., a well-established trenchless construction firm, is seeking a full-time Jr. Estimating Assistant/Jr. Project Coordinator with a minimum of two years of experience in the construction industry. We offer company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, two weeks paid vacation after one year of employment, and nine paid holidays. Minimum Qualifications: An Associates Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Construction, or a related field. Candidates with applicable hands-on practical experience in the construction industry will also be considered in lieu of formal education. Computer proficiency with Windows 10 and current versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Effective and professional communication skills via telephone, email, text messaging, and in person with co-workers, clients, vendors, and management. Dependable availability to work Mondays through Fridays, with occasional overtime. A valid California drivers license with a good driving record. Excellent English writing, reading, and verbal skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Support and assist the companys estimators by: Updating and distributing the estimating calendar. Updating the companys website with a list of projects bidding. Creating files on the shared server for the estimating department. Creating and maintaining the bid binder. Sending RFPs to vendors and subcontractors. Contacting subcontractors/vendors for pricing on all bidding projects. Saving all bid documents, drawings, specifications, addendums, and quotes on the server. Filing all estimating project documentation and drawings. Providing job cost analysis upon request. Sending No Bid Invitation responses via fax/email when applicable. Work closely with the Office Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and Project Managers to ensure all documentation and administrative matters related to active jobs are handled efficiently and safely, including but not limited to: Creating accounting job folders for each new project. Ensuring all job folders and files are complete, up-to-date, and properly filed. Preparing and maintaining IIPP & MSDS binders. Printing spec books. Preparing submittals and updating submittal logs. Assisting with the preparation and submission of close-out documents. Pulling permits from the city as needed. Managing safety and training records and documentation. Issuing purchase orders upon request. Providing backup for answering the companys telephones. Performing miscellaneous duties as requested by management. Company Description:
