Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible to ensure that all required tasks on a project from proposal to final invoice payment are completed either by themselves or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project. Senior Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client on their projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage
natural resource components of FDOT transportation projects from planning through construction. Conduct and oversee
wetland delineations, protected species surveys, habitat assessments , and other ecological fieldwork. Prepare and review technical reports, including
NEPA documents, Natural Resources Evaluations (NREs), Wetland Evaluation Reports (WERs), Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) assessments , and
Endangered Species Biological Assessments . Guide the development of
environmental permit applications , including ERP, USACE Section 404, and Section 10. Coordinate with
FDOT District Environmental Management Offices , water management districts, FDEP, USACE, USFWS, and NMFS. Lead
multi-disciplinary project teams , provide quality control, and ensure deliverables meet FDOT standards and schedules. Support business development, including
proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic teaming . Mentor junior staff, support career development, and foster technical excellence within the team.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's (10+ years Experience) or Master's degree (preferred) in
Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources , or related field. 8-15+ years of progressive experience in
natural resources consulting , with at least
5 years of direct FDOT project experience . Demonstrated success managing
FDOT PD&E
and
Design Phase
natural resource efforts. Strong understanding of
state and federal permitting
including ERP, USACE Section 404, ESA, and NEPA. Proficient in
ArcGIS , GPS data collection, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel throughout the state for fieldwork and client meetings.
