Technical Lead – Embedded Software (Aerospace | Onsite in Santa Barbara, CA) I’m working with a client building cutting-edge systems at the intersection of

hardware, autonomy, and embedded software , and they’re looking for a

Technical Lead

to drive embedded development for aerospace-grade systems. This is a hybrid role — hands-on engineering combined with

technical team leadership

— ideal for someone who’s led embedded projects in

aerospace, avionics, or robotics , and is ready to help shape both architecture and team direction. What You’ll Do: Lead the design and development of real-time embedded software for flight-critical systems Manage and mentor a small team of engineers — guiding architecture, code quality, and development processes Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and test teams to integrate software into the full product stack Take full lifecycle ownership — from prototyping to deployment and operational readiness What They’re Looking For: Strong experience in embedded systems (Rust OR C, C++), ideally in aerospace or high-reliability domains Deep understanding of real-time systems, concurrency, hardware/software interfaces Proven

people management

experience in a technical capacity Comfortable working

onsite in Santa Barbara, CA
