Full-Time Description:

The Department of Psychology at Hofstra University is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist to serve as a one-semester (Spring 2026) Special Assistant Professor in its APA-accredited Clinical Psychology PhD program. This position will require teaching one course in Clinical Interviewing and two courses supporting the externship sequence, including topics on basic supervisory skills and professional consultation. The position is term-limited for one-semester without anticipated renewal. Qualifications:

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited university is required. Active clinical licensure, ideally in NY State. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Preferred Quals Summary:

Current practice as a clinical psychologist. Prior teaching experience at the graduate level.
