Position Summary: The role will be based Miami, FL and is responsible for managing the day-to-day inspection requirements of the Company’s aircraft and engines, encompassing a wide range of maintenance-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess: Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to perform aircraft inspections effectively. Extensive knowledge of line maintenance procedures and proficiency in FAA regulations. Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Recommend and initiate corrective action, verify corrective action, control unsatisfactory conditions until proper corrective actions have been taken, and report to the DQ on the effectiveness of any quality issues. Recommend corrective action on methods, materials, and workmanship to ensure the highest level of flight safety. Exercise individual initiative and sound judgment to make decisions regarding the airworthiness of aircraft and the quality of maintenance work, materials, and practices to ensure that all aircraft, engines, or appliances released for flight are airworthy. Oversee the application of inspection and quality control methods and procedures to ensure the safe, reliable, and economical performance of Company aircraft. Conduct on-sight monitoring of the overall maintenance process to ensure a high level of quality and compliance throughout the entire vendor maintenance process. Perform RII inspections of completed maintenance actions to ensure the quality of the workmanship and ensure the documentation of inspection work is complete and accurate. Perform Receiving Inspections (RI) of all incoming parts to ensure conformity of the part and required documentation. Review check package for designated RII items and annotate the card. Perform all other duties assigned by DQ. Qualifications: High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) Diploma, or higher. A valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Three years of experience on commercial aircraft in a part 121 environment (Boeing 737 classic experience highly ) Ability to occasionally travel to airport/aircraft field locations with little or short notice. Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written communication. Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stoop frequently in confined spaces. Ability to work under pressure in a team environment. Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards. Active Passport Pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC) Eligible to work in the United States Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and the Internet Familiarity with accessing online aircraft manuals. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment. Work will include outdoors with seasonal weather. Ability to work in elevated areas.
