Duties : Represent clients in construction-related legal matters, including contract breaches, construction delays, public works, and prevailing wage issues. Draft and manage litigation documents such as discovery requests, responses, motion briefs, settlement agreements, and client reports. Work with contractors, developers, and owners on construction disputes. Handle depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances. Provide legal counsel to clients on construction law, including public bidding laws, the Public Contract Code, and the Civil Code as they relate to construction issues. Participate in case strategy development and provide ongoing legal advice to clients. Work efficiently within a team-oriented law firm culture. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to construction law. Requirements : 4-6 years of experience in construction litigation, specifically dealing with contract disputes, delays, public works, and related areas. Solid experience drafting litigation documents and handling litigation processes. Proven ability to take depositions and represent clients in court. Familiarity with construction law and the legal issues surrounding construction projects. Experience working in a private law firm environment. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail. Education : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar. Certifications : Admission to the California State Bar is required. Skills : Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
