Recruitment Range: $55,823.00 - $77,000.00
The Assistant Unit Manager position is located in the Asheville EIPD Unit, which includes Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living Services. This supervisory role involves assisting the Unit Manager in organizing and directing quality EIPD services across Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties, as well as Independent Living services in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford, and Transylvania counties.
This role provides leadership and supervision to assigned staff and backup supervision to all VR/IL staff when needed. The Assistant Unit Manager will work closely with the Asheville Management Team to ensure continuous, quality, and timely services during caseload vacancies. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating diverse rehabilitation programs, managing multiple caseloads, and coordinating third-party and community rehabilitation programs. The Assistant Unit Manager will serve as acting Unit Manager in their absence. Additional special projects may be assigned to meet the rehabilitation needs of individuals served.
