Responsible for providing budgeting and financial support to the Child Welfare section of the Division of Social Services, most notably in contracts budget, payment development and support. Position is the lead interface between the Divisions Child Welfare and Contracts sections to help ensure timely execution of contracts, ensure all contract budgets are aligned to maximize federal and state funds and follow all financial requirements. Reviews and approves contract invoices for payment, works to resolve funding and payment issues. Coordinates with other budget analysts and program leadership to ensure the most efficient use of funding. Ensures funds are optimally spent maximum utilization of grant awards while assuring remaining within grant budget. This position supports grant budgets and amendments, focusing on funding for 100+ private vendor contracts. Monitors deployment of Child Welfare funds, reassigning budgets, as needed. Monthly review and analysis of budget for accuracy and funding availability. Assists in the preparation of annual federal financial reports and compliance supplements.

Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of experience in business administration, public administration or related field, preferably in governmental accounting or budgeting, including one year in an advanced and responsible analyst or administrative capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
