About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

R&D and Product Development leader

to oversee a team of ~10 scientists and developers working on innovative pharmaceutical products and delivery systems. While the team is highly skilled in multiple delivery forms, we need a leader who brings

deep expertise in oral solid dosage (tablets, capsules) —particularly complex and modified release formulations—to provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and business insight. You will play a critical role in shaping product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful development of both new products and new delivery technologies. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management Lead and mentor a team of 10 scientists and product developers. Provide direction, technical oversight, and professional development guidance. Foster a collaborative, results-driven R&D culture. Technical Expertise Lead formulation and product development for oral solids, including complex and modified release products. Provide subject matter expertise in oral solid dosage forms, from concept to commercialization. Guide troubleshooting, process optimization, and technology transfer. Strategic Product Development Oversee portfolio selection, due diligence, and product pipeline planning. Partner with senior leadership to align R&D strategy with business objectives. Identify emerging trends and opportunities in drug delivery and formulation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure product success. Support customer and partner discussions with technical expertise when required. Minimum Requirements

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences with

10+ years

of post-academic industry experience,

OR Master’s degree with

15+ years

of industry experience. Proven expertise in oral solid dosage product development (tablets, capsules), including

modified release products . Formulation development experience strongly preferred. Leadership experience managing teams of 3–10 people. Experience with strategic business activities such as portfolio selection, due diligence, and business planning.
