Position Description Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of AdmissionsOperations, the Associate Director of Admissions – Slate CRM serves as astrategic systems analyst and technical lead for the university’s undergraduateadmissions CRM environment. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting inSlate, Slate user training, and Slate technical support while collaborating with campus partnersto improve system functionality, reporting, and data integration. The rolerequires a blend of enrollment process expertise, strong data acumen, and theability to translate business needs into scalable, automated technicalsolutions. Essential Functions: CRM Management – 50% Serveas a functional expert and Slate Captain for Technolutions Slate, leadingsystem design, maintenance, and optimization aligned with strategicenrollment goals. Leadannual cycle preparation, including updates to forms, rules, applicationlogic, and user interfaces. Gatherand translate business needs into technical requirements, collaboratingwith stakeholders to develop scalable solutions such as workflows,portals, dashboards, automations, and data integrations that enhancerecruitment and admissions operations. Supportevolving recruitment, application, and yield strategies by designingfeatures that advance CRM usage beyond industry standards. Maintain and enhance daily CRM operations (e.g., event management, querying, form development, and data uploads), ensuring data integrity and consistent user experiences. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and first-level support for CRM-related issues, collecting details, diagnosing problems, managing user expectations, and escalating urgent or complex cases as needed. Work closely with campus partners and IT services to resolve system and application issues, ensuring a smooth user experience. Monitor and resolve data errors with strongattention to detail and confidentiality. Develop, maintain, and update portalexperiences for prospective and incoming students, internal staff, andother key stakeholders. Advise on system capabilities, limitations, andbest practices while working closely with the Sr. Associate Director tooptimize recruitment and marketing technologies.

Reportingand Data –30% Develop,test, and validate queries, reports, and dashboards with a consistentfocus on accuracy and efficiency. Supportdata-driven initiatives by identifying missing or critical data points,recommending improvements to data collection methods, and enhancing fieldstructures and prompt logic within the CRM. Incollaboration with the Sr. Associate Director, analyze, map, and importdata into and out of Slate on a regular basis, including the CommonApplication, test scores, external vendors, and other offices. Collaboratewith the Sr. Associate Director to maintain data integrity and quality byproactively identifying and resolving issues, validating reports, andimplementing processes that support long-term system reliability andaccurate data flow. Respondto ad hoc data and query requests from leadership and partner departments,ensuring clarity, consistency, and responsiveness to strategic priorities. Collaboratewith the Sr. Associate Director and campus stakeholders to evaluate dataneeds, manage access protocols, and maintain documentation for recurringand customized data deliverables. Update andmaintain inquiry and applicant records. Other Duties – 20% Developand maintain comprehensive documentation of Slate processes,configurations, and data workflows to support transparency, training, andsystem continuity. Provideuser support and training resources for staff across functional areas withvarying technical skill levels, promoting consistent and effective use ofSlate and related systems. Collaboratewith IT and institutional partners to maintain smooth data integrationacross platforms, troubleshoot technical issues, and support systemenhancements. Continuouslyassess and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, reducemanual work, and align with best practices in admissions technology. Contributeto cross-functional enrollment initiatives by assisting with systemsupport for recruitment events, communication flows, and admissions cyclemilestones. Supervise4–6 student employees on task-specific projects, ensuring clear directionand quality outcomes. Assistwith preparation, execution, and staffing of major on-campus admissionsevents and other institutional initiatives as needed. Providebackup support for file evaluation, communications deployment, or otheroperational functions during peak times or staff absences. Performother related duties as requested.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degreein a relevant field and three or more years of professional experience, oran equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to performthe essential job functions. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, andthe success of diverse student populations. Demonstrated ability to understand and navigatecomplex relational databases and write advanced data queries. At least 2 years of experience with TechnolutionsSlate or a similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Working knowledge of SQL and HTML. Experience working in a Student InformationSystem (preferably Ellucian Colleague). Demonstrated initiative and problem-solvingability while working independently. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonalcommunication skills. High adaptability and comfort with change,interruptions, and shifting priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in HTML and SQL. Experience with both transfer and first-year undergraduate admissions. Supervisory experience, particularly managing student staff or operational roles. Experience designing and delivering end-user training or technical documentation. Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications. Experience as a Slate Captain or possess a Slate Certified credential.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that representsits good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at thetime of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will bedetermined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selectedcandidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equityconsiderations, and available market information, and not based on acandidate’s gender or any other protected status.
