Scope of the Role The Vice President of Finance & Accounting is the senior financial leader and key member of the executive team. This role involves setting and executing financial strategy, capital planning, and infrastructure to support scalable growth, overseeing Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Procurement Finance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and aligning financial strategy with company goals. As the company grows domestically and internationally, the VP will provide strategic insights, drive performance, and partner with the CEO and other leaders. Reporting Structure The VP reports to the CEO and collaborates with cross-functional leaders within the organization. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Manage relationships with external financial stakeholders such as banks, lenders, auditors, and advisors. Define and drive the company's long-term financial vision, capital strategy, and resource allocation. Advise the CEO and executive team, translating financial data into actionable insights. Lead financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Provide financial insights, KPIs, and decision support aligned with business strategies. Manage financial aspects across all sales channels, including pricing and margin strategies. Ensure timely and compliant financial reporting for all entities. Oversee accounting infrastructure, internal controls, and audits per US GAAP and international standards. Improve the efficiency of financial close and consolidation processes. Lead treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, and capital management. Manage banking relationships and guide capital deployment for M&A and strategic initiatives. Support strategic initiatives with capital needs assessments. Oversee procurement and inventory financial strategies, focusing on cost savings and risk mitigation. Own the evolution of financial systems, ERP, and data tools. Establish financial policies and compliance frameworks. Oversee legal, lease, insurance, and employee benefits compliance. Manage international accounting resources and ensure compliance with global standards. Build and lead a high-performing finance team fostering integrity and collaboration. Qualifications & Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 5+ years as VP or above overseeing accounting, FP&A, treasury, and procurement. Experience in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce involving inventory and omnichannel sales. Deep knowledge of financial strategy, capital structure, credit facilities, and international operations. Strong command of US GAAP, controls, compliance, and multi-entity reporting. Experience with procurement finance, inventory, and supply chain financial operations. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP, financial planning platforms, and BI tools. Understanding of legal, insurance, benefits, tax, and global procurement operations is a plus. Strategic thinker with operational expertise; able to analyze details and long-term impact. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Collaborative, hands-on, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
