We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence. As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining relational or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server 5+ years of experience implementing database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization strategies 4+ years of experience supporting ETL and ELT pipelines in data ingestion, transformation, and archival within secure enterprise environments 3+ years of experience designing and managing data models, schemas, and access patterns aligned with application requirements 3+ years of experience applying data protection best practices, including encryption at rest, access control policies, and audit logging 3+ years of experience working with software development teams to define and support database requirements within Agile or DevSecOps workflows 2+ years of experience scripting or automating database tasks using SQL, Python, PowerShell, or Bash TS/SCI clearance HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have:
Knowledge of Joint Combatant Command organizational structures Ability to draft comprehensive documents to capture and codify work-related tasks Clearance:
