Marketing Proposal Manager
to join our Buildings group. This position is designated as
hybrid
(3 days in the office per week) in our Los Angeles, California office. This role offers an opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and collaborate with pursuit teams across diverse markets, with potential projects throughout the northeastern U.S. and beyond. Responsibilities:
Proposal & Marketing Deliverable Development Manage and lead the development of compliant and compelling responses to solicitations from public and private building clients, including: Coordinate efforts of the marketing team, including graphic designers, proofreaders, and junior staff throughout the proposal process; Analyze solicitations and develop schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices; Collaborate with pursuit and project teams to identify sales themes and integrate them into responses; Assign and oversee content development, including writing and technical narratives; Identify and coordinate with teaming partners, develop RFIs, and manage responses; Create creative narratives such as cover letters and section introductions; Coordinate with project staff to develop technical narratives and impactful graphics; Facilitate color review meetings, implement feedback, and ensure all elements are proofread and compliant with solicitation and brand guidelines. Interview Preparation Lead the development of interviews, including storylines, visual presentations, and rehearsal support; General Marketing Support Assist in developing and maintaining project descriptions, resumes, and marketing documents; People Management Mentor junior staff and collaborate with peers and managers to support staff development; Marketing Management Participate in strategic planning and client debriefs to foster long-term relationships; Pursuits & Pre-solicitation Positioning Support pursuit development, including competitor analysis, strategy development, and facilitation of meetings. Qualifications:
Creative, self-motivated professional eager to grow in a collaborative environment; High-quality, visually compelling marketing deliverables expertise; Highly organized with strong research and time management skills; Excellent writing and grammatical skills, adaptable to industry-specific style guides; Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work overtime when needed; Client-focused with a strong work ethic. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, liberal arts, or related field; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign; Minimum 8 years of proposal management experience, including federal proposals; design-build experience is a plus; Experience in marketing within the architecture, engineering, or construction management industries.
