Description
Duties/Responsibilities: Manage a large amounts of incoming calls. Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools. Match orders and build truckloads for shipment. Prepare shipping documents (packing slips and picking tickets). Pre-call customers to schedule delivery appointments. Arrange shipments with Logistic Companies - Negotiate rates and send rate confirmations via email or fax. Maintain daily records of outgoing shipments. Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Skills/Abilities:
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively Ability to adapt/respond to different situations Must be a team player with a positive attitude Willing to work overtime with little or no notice Education and Experience:
Knowledge of relevant computer applications, Great Plains is a plus Ability to type 45 words per minute High School Diploma or GED Experience in dispatching (2 to 3 years)
