Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic Content and Communications Specialist to lead our content strategy, creation, and distribution across all communication channels. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in astronomy and a working knowledge of Web3 technologies. This role requires the ability to quickly understand and clearly articulate complex concepts, making them accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a cross-channel content strategy for website, social media, outbound marketing, investor presentations, partner acquisition, and sales. Create, curate, and manage high-quality content tailored to astronomy and Web3 audiences, including posts, blogs, newsletters, presentations, and sales materials. Collaborate with internal teams (science/engineering, business development, community) to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging. Maintain and optimize a content calendar aligned with product launches, marketing goals, and industry trends Engage with the astronomy and Web3 communities by producing educational and inspiring content, fostering discussion, and amplifying SkyMapper’s mission Track content performance metrics and iterate strategies to maximize engagement and growth. Support campaign development for partner and investor outreach, including decks, one-pagers, and event collateral. Stay current on Web3, blockchain, and astronomy/science trends to inform content and community engagement. Requirements
3+ years in product communications, content management, or related roles; experience in science/astronomy, Web3 or blockchain fields preferred Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment Passion for astronomy, science communication, and emerging technologies Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and creative approach to content managment Nice to Have
Experience with token incentive programs, DAO governance, or NFT campaigns. Familiarity with astronomy, citizen science, or open data initiatives. Implementation successful Web3 content strategies and programs. What We Offer
