Lead Site Reliability Engineer
at JPMorgan Chase within the
Infrastructure & Production Management sector of Consumer & Community Banking , you will hold a leadership role, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on technical and business issues. You will lead resiliency design reviews, break down complex problems, serve as a technical lead for medium to large products, and mentor other engineers. Responsibilities
Advocate for site reliability principles, fostering a culture of excellence. Leverage AI tools to enhance operations and automate processes. Lead projects to improve application and platform reliability. Use data analytics and AI to automate detection, diagnosis, and resolution, and drive continuous improvement. Engage stakeholders to set realistic service level objectives and error budgets. Maintain advanced technical proficiency and address technology bottlenecks. Utilize AI-driven solutions to streamline operations. Serve as the primary contact during major incidents, resolving issues swiftly. Disseminate knowledge through internal forums and communities. Mentor team members on AI adoption for operational effectiveness. Qualifications & Skills
Formal training or certification in SRE concepts and 5+ years of experience. Success in SRE or senior DevOps roles, with expertise in SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and systems reliability. Expertise with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). Hands-on coding skills, experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Active interest or experience in applying AI to operations. Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Empathy and professionalism, especially during incidents. Preferred Skills
Experience with banking or fintech operations and compliance. Database management skills, including relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with chaos engineering or failure-mode analysis. Mentoring or leadership experience, especially around AI and SRE practices. Innovative problem-solving and critical thinking skills. About Us
