As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology, Corporate Technology team, you will hold a leadership role, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on technical and business issues. Your responsibilities include leading resiliency design reviews, breaking down complex problems, acting as a technical lead for medium to large products, and mentoring engineers. Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate and champion site reliability culture and practices, exerting technical influence Lead initiatives to improve application and platform reliability using data-driven analytics Collaborate to identify service level indicators and establish service level objectives and error budgets Maintain high technical expertise and proactively solve technology bottlenecks Act as main contact during major incidents, resolving issues swiftly to prevent financial losses Share knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification in SRE concepts and 5+ years of applied experience Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, and enterprise system architecture Fluency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java Spring Boot, or .NET Knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with emerging expertise in one or more disciplines Experience with observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, ECS Troubleshooting skills for networking technologies and issues Ability to solve problems related to complex data structures and algorithms Self-motivated to learn and evaluate new technology Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Ability to teach programming languages to team members Ability to collaborate across different levels and stakeholder groups About Us
