Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to help lead the business through its next stage of growth. This individual will oversee the financial operations of a diverse real estate portfolio, playing a critical role in shaping strategy, driving performance, and improving operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone with a deep understanding of real estate finance who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for aligning financial planning with business goals, optimizing capital structure, and ensuring rigorous financial discipline. Core Responsibilities Executive & Strategic Oversight Collaborate with ownership and senior leadership to define financial strategy and support long-term business objectives. Deliver data-driven insights to guide investment decisions, project feasibility, and risk management. Contribute to overall business strategy, particularly around development, acquisitions, and portfolio optimization. Financial Operations & Controls Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including month-end close, cash flow management, and audit preparation. Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Implement robust internal controls and financial policies that align with best practices. Capital Markets & Investor Relations Manage lender relationships and lead all debt financing and refinancing efforts. Negotiate loan terms, covenant structures, and capital stack strategies in support of new development and acquisitions. Serve as the primary liaison with capital partners, investors, and financial institutions. Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting Lead the annual budgeting process and produce rolling forecasts across business units. Monitor key financial indicators such as occupancy rates, cost per unit, and NOI margins. Deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to executive stakeholders and partners. Technology & Systems Upgrade financial systems and processes to improve data accuracy, reporting speed, and scalability. Leverage technology to support business intelligence, automation, and decision-making tools. Evaluate and implement ERP or real estate-specific software solutions as needed. Leadership & Talent Management Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance team. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support cross-functional efforts around insurance, benefits, and risk mitigation. Candidate Profile Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within real estate development, construction, or asset management. Strong technical background in financial modeling, fund structuring, and GAAP accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. Deep understanding of real estate financing instruments, from traditional bank debt to joint ventures and preferred equity. Demonstrated success in leading financial strategy and organizational change within a mid-to-large scale private company. Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting platforms is highly desirable. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization. Why Join?
