Your day as a CMA

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Sommerset Assisted Living & Memory Care, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around providing exceptional care and support to our residents. In addition, you will facilitate communication between residents and healthcare professionals, ensuring that each individual's needs are met respectfully and attentively. You will also assist in administering medications and maintaining accurate records to uphold our commitment to excellence and integrity in care.

Throughout the day, you may engage in various tasks, from organizing resident activities to providing emotional support, fostering a warm and compassionate environment. Your role will be essential in building meaningful relationships with residents and their families, reinforcing our customer-centric approach to care.

What you need to be successful

• To excel as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Sommerset Assisted Living & Memory Care, candidates must possess a blend of essential skills and qualifications.

• A minimum of one year of experience providing care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferably in a long-term care environment, is required.

• Additionally, a valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Health is required.
n
• Strong documentation and organizational skills are also crucial.
n
• A genuine passion for helping others, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, will be vital in ensuring that residents receive the empathetic and customer-centric care that defines our organization.
