Job Summary Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant responsible for supporting clinical operations, including maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms, preparing Electronic Health Records (EHR), managing schedules, and facilitating provider communication. The role also involves managing patient appointments, processing lab results and orders, and handling prescription requests. Key Responsibilities Ensure all exam rooms are clean, properly stocked, and maintained in accordance with infection control protocols. Support the Clinical Manager with special clinical projects, including EHR initiatives and report generation. Maintain daily communication with primary providers to assist with office and rounding schedules. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments due to changes in provider availability. Prepare EHR for upcoming appointments, confirming lab work completion and documentation. Relay patient inquiries from voicemails and portals to providers, seeking clinical guidance as needed. Review incoming labs, reports, and order notifications in the EHR and escalate critical results. Schedule imaging tests, obtain prior authorizations, and manage follow-ups. Record and update daily voicemail greetings and document patient phone conversations in the EHR. Process prescription refills through eScribe and send new prescriptions electronically. Skills Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and systems such as Allscripts PM. Strong communication and organizational skills.
