$60,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience Benefits:
Benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) About the Role Are you a detail-oriented paralegal with a passion for family law and litigation? LHH is parting with a Michigan-based law firm seeking a skilled legal professional to support attorneys in managing complex cases from intake through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful legal matters while collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals. Key Responsibilities Case Management & Client Support Manage caseloads from intake to resolution
Draft case plans, timelines, and client status reports
Serve as primary client contact and maintain regular communication
Legal Research & Analysis Conduct factual and legal research
Summarize findings and prepare memoranda for attorney review
Drafting & Document Preparation Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery responses, affidavits, subpoenas, and trial materials
Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
Discovery & Trial Support Coordinate discovery processes and organize exhibits
Prepare deposition summaries and assist with trial logistics
Court Filings & Docketing File documents with state and federal courts using e-filing systems
Maintain accurate docketing of deadlines and appearances
Technology Utilization Use document management systems, litigation support software, and Office 365 proficiently
Billing & Timekeeping Track billable time and assist with pre-bill reviews
Professional Collaboration Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to support legal strategy and client service
Qualifications Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program strongly preferred
Experience Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in Family Law required
Litigation experience strongly preferred
Skills Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legal terminology
Excellent legal writing, proofreading, and research skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal tech platforms
High level of professionalism and client service orientation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
