Maintenance Mechanic Miami, Florida area Temp to Hire Drug Screening and Background Check Required Closed Toe Shoes Required 2 years Experience Required SUMMARY:

Responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment at customer locations in warehouse, the office area, and the physical building. Maintenance to be performed will cover mechanical, electrical (up to and including three phase), hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and some carpentry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates maintenance activities with Equipment Operators and Supervisors in the department where the maintenance is to be performed, in a timely, efficient, and safe manner Apply maintenance troubleshooting skills in a wide variety of machine applications in response to production requirements Troubleshoot control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers Utilize Digital Volt Meter, Mega OHM Meter and AMP probes to diagnose electrical problems Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, repair and service of machinery and support systems as required Perform systematic preventive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs on plant equipment as necessary, and visually detect any issues Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment on a regular scheduled basis Prioritizes repairs due to machine breakdowns over projects and other tasks Perform welding and machine shop tasks related to repair of equipment and machinery Maintains and organizes the maintenance area as for storage of parts and equipment as well as maintaining all shop equipment and maintaining the areas housekeeping Maintain an organized clean and safe work area Works closely with shift supervisors and machine operators to learn what is happening to each machine on a daily basis Comply with area Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures. Design and fabricate parts to improve machine / equipment operation and safety Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of Company assets Ensure a professional image for internal as well as external customers and vendors The individual wear safety glasses, closed toe shoes, closed heel shoes required in production area Any/all other duties assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios Ability to weld and fabricate Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics Ability to plumb and install air and water lines Some carpentry skills needed Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification Problem solving, time management, and communication skills a must Pre-employment drug screening required. If the candidate is neither certified, degreed, or licensed, they might be required to successfully complete proficiency testing in some or all of the above categories.
