Under the direction of a senior analyst or supervisor, a Data Analyst I performs segments of professional and scientific analysis of operational activities within military, government, or business systems to provide a quantitative basis for decision-making. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and adapt methods to analyze operational problems. Utilize modeling, measurement techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering principles, and operational mathematics. Conduct analytical studies to evaluate the effects of alternative solutions. Perform work in operations research, analyze test runs on computers, and correct programs and input data. Organize data collection, evaluate findings, and draw reliable conclusions. Develop, maintain, and produce analytical documentation. Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Education, Technical, and Work Experience:
An associate's degree or equivalent vocational/academic training in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics, or three years of related experience. Additional qualifications include: Demonstrated problem analysis skills. Skills in performing accurate, planned work with logical steps. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Planning and organizational skills. Ability to work under deadlines.
