As a Maintenance Repairman 2, work will include completing new construction, repairs, and ongoing maintenance tasks. Your role will involve managing a variety of trades, such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and masonry. Some of your duties may include installing drop ceilings, sheetrock, paneling, and floor tiles, as well as repairing and replacing sinks, toilets, faucets, and showers. Additionally, you will prepare areas for painting, install and replace electrical equipment, and work with cement to patch sidewalks. Furthermore, you will be required to operate and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order by conducting minor repairs and performing preventive maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1;

or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;

or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirement:

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirements:

You must maintain favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required):

Any formal training (high school vocational program, apprenticeship, or post-high school technical training program) in a skilled building, electrical, or mechanical trade Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment Experience in commercial carpentry Experience in the plumbing trade Experience working in the electrical trade field Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, switch gears, and 3-phase panels Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings Legal Requirement:
